Why Welbeck Strategic Land?

Strong Financial Backing

Welbeck Strategic Land always ensures that it has ample funding to meet the expense of each scheme, which means that progress is never slowed by internal funding considerations. We have adequate cash resources available, to meet all planning and related costs incurred in seeking consents.

Through its Welbeck Strategic Land vehicles it works with investor partners who provide the business with long term institutional capital.

Specialist Expertise and Experience

Our long history in this highly specialised area of planning, and our very high success rate, support an in-house group of expert  town planners, directing separate teams of consultants and specialists chosen specifically for each project.

The smallest scheme we have undertaken so far was for 44 new homes, on a Home Counties site. The largest, now designed and agreed with the local planning authority, is for 2,200 plus units in a highly sustainable urban extension in the West Midlands. We are at the early stage of promoting a new settlement in the Home Counties for c4,000 new homes.

Constructive Communication – leading to co-operation, not confrontation

Welbeck Strategic Land always aims for an open approach and constructive dialogue with local councils, and with other local opinion formers and decision makers. The objective is to ensure that valid local concerns are properly aired and debated. For example, existing communities need to see tangible benefits from development. New projects require billions of pounds to help with infrastructure and public service costs across the UK every year. In many instances this can include the provision of better local healthcare and education facilities, improved highways, land for public recreational use, through to the provision of more affordable housing.
